A BIT MORE...

‘Ever Red’ may be a bit of a misnomer for this wonderful tree.  Highly variable color throughout the year and a graceful low cascading form make ‘Ever Red’ a constant point of interest throughout the year.  Lacey leaves emerge with bright red new growth.  In shade, those leaves shift to a lovely wine color as the warm season progresses.  In stronger sun, they may become a pretty bronze-green, but risk getting burnt by the end of summer.  Autumn brings back the fiery red that the tree was named for.  Overall, ‘Ever Red’ makes for a delightful focal point in the garden.
