A BIT MORE...

This is an Australian perennial that is prized for its unusual flowers that somewhat resemble the curving shape of a kangaroo’s paw. Long strap-like green leaves emerge from a clump that is ultimately 4-5’ tall and 2-3’ wide. In the spring through summer, the tubular orange flowers borne on tall stalks make a striking statement outdoors or as cut flowers indoors. They attract hummingbirds and bees and are long-lived. Place in full sun and give little supplemental water in well-drained soil. They are hardy to 20-25°F.
