Leucophyllum langmaniae ‘Lynn’s Legacy’ is a broadleaf, evergreen shrub with a dense, rounded, upright habit and featuring lavender-purple to pale-violet bell-shaped flowers and silver-green, fragrant, velvety foliage. It blooms continuously and frequently without requiring high humidity or rain. Grows in a tight, compact mound and needs little pruning and shaping. Uses include privacy screens, hedges, mass plantings, or as a specimen plant in desert and arid landscapes. Excellent in desert landscapes and tolerates most seacoast and intermountain conditions. Requires full, intense sun to reflective sun to maintain its dense habit and bloom well. It has low shade tolerance and will perform poorly. It needs well-drained soil. It handles rocky, sandy, alkaline, limestone-based, or poor soils but will fail in chronically wet or soggy sites. Regular irrigation when installed and acclimating; low water needs once established.
