Más información

Leucophyllum zygophyllum ‘Laredo’ PP36336 is a broadleaf, evergreen shrub with a rounded, dense, compact habit and featuring lavender-blue to deep blue-purple flowers and distinctive, ornamental, silver-green to metallic-gray leaves that cup inward. It blooms spring to fall and frequently bursting into bloom immediately following rain or humidity spikes. Blooming can sometimes be started by overhead watering. Laredo is an improvement over other varieties with earlier spring blooming, larger flowers, better flower coverage, and improved tolerance of heavy, compacted, poor draining soils. Uses include focal point, informal hedges and screens, mass plantings, containers. It is excellent in desert landscapes and very tolerant of seacoast, urban, and intermountain conditions. It requires full sun; growing it in the shade results in weak, leggy growth and poor flowering. Prefers alkaline, sandy, loamy, or rocky soils. It requires excellent drainage. Water deeply every 3-4 days when installed and acclimating; occasionally give a deep watering in hot climates when established. Let the soil dry completely between watering. Do not water in winter if there is regular rain. Fire-resistant. Resistant to Verticillium Wilt. Deer and rabbit-resistant. Cold hardy to 0°F.
