A deciduous tree native to the low, wet areas of the eastern United States and Canada, this cultivar is distinguished by its upright columnar crown and brilliant fiery orange red fall color. A mature specimen will be up to 18’ wide and 40’ tall, a nice shape for today’s smaller lots and medians or massed to develop a screen. We suggest watering deeply in the early years to develop a downward root structure. It grows moderately quickly and relishes full sun. The serrated leaves appear in the spring and are 3”long and wide with 5 lobes. Beautiful 1’ long red samaras cover the tree in late spring.
