A Bit More

Aeonium ‘Sunburst’ is a succulent cultivar with variegated foliage that is creamy white, yellow, green with pink margins and pale yellow flowers often blooming late winter to spring. It has a branching-mounding habit. Used as an accent, border, low hedge, in containers. It is monocarpic; individual rosettes die after flowering, but the plant produces new, non-flowering pups. Requires well-draining, sandy, or rocky soil. Drought-resistant; water sparingly, particularly during Aeonium summer dormancy. Prefers full sun to part shade (needs protection from intense, direct summer sun in hot, arid climates). Generally insect and disease-resistant. Deer and rabbit-resistant. Fire-resistant. Cold hardy to 25°F for short periods, but should be kept above freezing. Best when temperatures are between 65-80°F.
