A Bit More

Agave attenuata is a spineless succulent known for its rosette of soft, light gray-green leaves. It blooms once after 10-25 years with a unique 5-10′ vertical flower stalk of yellowish-white flowers that curves back towards the ground then turns upward again. Excellent for container planting, succulent gardens, as an accent plant, rock gardens, borders, pathways (due to lack of spines). Grows best in a rocky or sandy soil. Tolerates alkaline, clay, and poor soils. Needs good drainage. Monocarpic. Fire-resistant. Deer and rabbit-resistant. Cold hardy to 30°F.
