A Bit More

Similar in appearance to the Artichoke Agave, Agave ‘Baja’ forms rosettes of cool, silver-blue foliage rimmed with teeth and a terminal spine. ‘Baja’ is smaller in scale than its Artichoke cousin, with individual rosettes growing 9-12” wide. This Agave wants to spread, as it freely pups and will eventually form a clump of rosettes that reach 1’ tall and 3’ wide. Cold hardy to 27° F, plant in full sun to part shade with good drainage. Site a safe distance from pedestrian traffic to protect from thorns. Beautiful in a small-scale desert garden or as underplanting to more substantial agave or cacti.
