A Bit More

A cold-hardy agave from northern Mexico and Arizona that stays 2-3 feet high and wide. Gray-green to blue-green leaves have sharp spines on the ends. It forms “pups” that ensure its survival even after the bloom expected after 20 years’ time. The rosettes resemble artichokes. Given part shade to full sun in milder areas, good drainage, and little to moderate water, it will thrive nicely. The 12’ tall flower stalk bears yellow flowers. It can withstand temperatures hovering around 10°F.
