A Bit More

Armeria maritima is a charming plant, with abundant positive characteristics that make it well suited to modern gardens.  Rarely does it get too large for a spot, it is not invasive and it does very well in poor sandy soil.  Take care not to overfertilize or overwater, as this can cause rot.  In fact, Armeria is a good choice to adding a little touch of softness and color to rock gardens.  The pretty little blossoms will attract butterflies, and can be cut down at the end of their bloom to encourage repeat performances. Armeria looks nice in little patches dotting a garden, or can make a tidy border.
