A Bit More

Baccharis ‘Pigeon Point’ is a very nice dwarf Coyote Bush with a low and wide spreading form, but is a male variety, and will not produce seed. ‘Pigeon Point’ is deer resistant, attractive to beneficial insects, and an excellent choice for stabilizing slopes. Along the coast Baccharis is very drought tolerant, but it does benefit from being watered every couple of weeks inland. If regularly watered, and debris is cleaned out, Baccharis can make a good fire break. Use ‘Pigeon Point’ where road dust won’t settle on the leaves and you need dependable soil coverage.
