A Bit More

Bougainvillea ‘Purple Majesty’  is a woody, evergreen climbing vine or groundcover known for its intense, deep purple bracts and shrubby growth habit. It forms a vigorous, thorny, woody vine, or a bushy shrub depending on pruning. Excellent as a screen, hedge, for weed suppression, fence covering, on a pergola, container gardening. Requires at least 6 hrs of full sun to maintain its vibrant bract color; shade will cause colors to dull. It has moderate to low water needs; prefers deep but infrequent watering. Let the soil dry out between irrigations. Grows best in well-draining, slightly acidic soil. Deer-resistant. Cold hardy to 30°F.
