A Bit More

The common name of Ceanothus gloriosus, “Glorymat Ceanothus” should give you some indication of how nice of a ground cover this variety is. Dark green, holly-like leaves form a dense mass, excellent for weed control once established. Deer tend to leave this one alone because of the toothy leaves. Planted inland ‘Anchor Bay’ can handle garden type irrigation and benefits from light shade. Along the coast, it prefers full sun, and generally needs very little in the way of watering.
