Coleonema pulchellum ‘Sunset Gold’ bears stunning feathery yellow to chartreuse foliage that contrasts beautifully with the dark greens and broad leaves found in most landscapes. A tidy 4’ tall and 6’ wide mound at maturity, this popular evergreen also bears small pale pink flowers from winter through spring. It is the blooms’ fragrance that inspired the common name “Breath of Heaven.” Full sun evokes stronger yellows in the foliage, but partial sun is tolerated. Good drainage and regular watering is preferred making it an excellent solution to hillside erosion challenges.
