A Bit More

Cotoneaster dammeri ‘Coral Beauty’ is a fast-growing, evergreen groundcover/shrub featuring glossy, dark green leaves that develop reddish or purple tones in fall/winter, fragrant white spring flowers, and abundant coral-red winter berries. Acts as an excellent weed-suppressing groundcover. Uses include slope erosion control, low-maintenance lawn replacement, divider edge along pathways and garden bed. It is tolerant of partial shade, but grows best and produces the most berries in full sun. Drought-tolerant. Low to moderate water needs until established. Highly adaptable to poor, rocky, or sandy soils, provided it has excellent drainage. It cannot tolerate standing water or soggy roots. Deer-resistant. Resistant to Verticillium wilt. Cold hardy to -10°F.
