Uses include rock gardens, groundcover, borders and edging. Excellent for seacoast landscapes. While shade tolerant, It should get full sun for at least 6 hours a day for best foliage color. Highly drought-tolerant. Best is to let it dry out between irrigations. Requires exceptionally well-draining, gritty, and nutrient-poor soil. Deer and rabbit-resistant. Fire-retardant. Resistant to Verticillium wilt. Cold hardy to 30°F.
