May require root containment as its rhizomes spread rapidly. Uses include erosion control, container, coastal dune stabilization, large-scale groundcover. Excellent in seacoast landscapes. Low to moderate water use. Once established, it is drought resistant. It prefers full sun but tolerates light shade. Tolerates sandy, rocky, clay, and unparticular soil types.
