Elymus condensatus ‘Canyon Prince’ is an evergreen, warm-season grass featuring colorful, narrow, strap-like blades with new bright green foliage that quickly turns a powdery silver-blue as it ages. It spreads via rhizomes to form dense thickets. Excellent as a colorful foliage accent plant, for slope stabilization/erosion control, mass planting, and around dry streambeds. Very well adapted to seacoast and coastal conditions. Grows in full sun (for best blue color) to partial shade. It tolerates sand, heavy clay, and shallow rocky soils.
