Forsythia ‘Courtasol’ GOLD TIDE® is a dwarf deciduous shrub cultivar with a prostrate, dense, mounding habit and featuring feathery light-to-medium green leaves in summer and bright yellow spring flowers before the foliage emerges. Uses include groundcover, erosion control, container, edging, low hedge. Excellent in intermountain landscapes and has moderate salt tolerance for seacoast landscapes. Medium water use; exhibits moderate drought resistance once fully established. It is highly adaptable to most moist, well-drained soils (loam, clay, sand) with a neutral to slightly acidic pH. Prefers full sun for optimal flowering but tolerates light part shade. Deer-resistant. Cold hardy to -20°F.
