Lagerstroemia indica x fauriei ‘Choctaw’ is a deciduous tree with a decurrent, upright, spreading, rounded habit and featuring dark green summer leaves that emerge with a slight bronze tint and shifts to shades of orange, yellow, red, and maroon in autumn. Summer flowers are bright, pure pink and exfoliating gray bark peels away to reveal a mottled patchwork of cinnamon-red, mahogany, and cream inner bark. Dead-heading or pruning spent flowers will usually produce a new round of flowering. Often grown as a standard and a multi-trunk tree. Non-invasive roots.
