Lagerstroemia indica x fauriei ‘Muskogee’ is a deciduous tree with a decurrent, upright, spreading, rounded habit and featuring dark green summer leaves that shift to shades of orange, yellow, red in autumn. Summer flowers are pale lavender-pink, or soft lilac and exfoliating gray bark peels away to reveal a mottled patchwork of cinnamon-brown to tan-gray inner bark. Dead-heading or pruning spent flowers will usually produce a new round of flowering. Often grown as a standard and a multi-trunk tree. Non-invasive roots. Uses include as a focal point, screen, hedge, street tree. Excellent in desert landscapes. Tolerates urban heat and pollution. Specifically developed for mildew resistance.
