Summer flowers are medium lavender to dark violet-purple and exfoliating gray bark peels away to reveal tan-gray inner bark. Dead-heading or pruning spent flowers will usually produce a new round of flowering. Often grown as a standard and a multi-trunk tree/shrub. It is considered a semi-dwarf variety. Non-invasive roots.
