Lavandula dentata ‘Goodwin Creek Grey’ is a an evergreen, woody perennial/shrub with a dense, rounded, compact, mounding habit and featuring silvery-gray-green velvet leaves with toothed margins and spikes with deep violet-blue/dark purple flowers. The flowers and foliage are very aromatic. This Lavender is not considered edible. Uses include low hedges, borders, mass plantings, containers. Can be used in seacoast landscapes and tolerates hot desert conditions if planted in well-draining soil. It is one of the most reliable lavender varieties for hot summer climates. Excellent in urban conditions. Requires regular irrigation when installed and acclimating; low water needs once established. Best practice is to allow the soil to dry out between deep watering.
