A Bit More

Salvia x ‘Dara’s Choice’ is a California native, perennial shrub/groundcover that produces lavender-blue flowers in spring to early summer. It is a natural hybrid of Salvia sonomensis (Creeping Sage) and Salvia mellifera (Black Sage). Best in full sun and it is drought tolerant, but prefers part shade and occasional water in hot weather. Needs good drainage. With a dense, mounding habit and tolerance to garden conditions, it is excellent as a low maintenance ground cover, erosion control, or bank stabilization. Fire resistant. Cold hardy to 10°F.
